🇺🇸 I was honoured when I received an email from the very talented taxidermy artist Maartje from echo taxidermy asking me to collaborate with her. A few hours after shooting “afterlife” was born. So here we are, two enthusiastic people that have put all their love and passion into a piece of art! We are proud to present the following works in our upcoming exhibition. 🇳🇱 De kracht van verbeelding.

Wij, fotografe Angelique Brunas en taxidermist Maartje Ampts, kenden elkaar voor de totstandkoming van deze tentoonstelling niet. Wat ons samenbracht is onze fascinatie voor vergankelijkheid, onze liefde voor natuur en passie voor de verstilde wereld van urbex fotografie en taxidermie. Ons concept is uitgewerkt in 12 op glas gedrukte foto’s van verlaten industriële ruimtes waarin opgezette dieren weer tot leven komen. Naast elke, op glas gedrukte foto, bestaat het opgezette dier op een sokkel. Ons concept vraagt om te kijken naar wat (n)ooit was. De combinatie van urbex fotografie en taxidermie is uniek.
